I experimented with measuring EF (electric-fields), and found that the Trifield TF2 was measuring EF 1.6x higher than the GQ EMF-390 meter.
I was measuring around 70 to 75 V/m about 2 to 3 inches away from my laptop with the GQ EMF-390, whereas with the TF2 it was reading 112 to 120 V/m.
The two readings were taken one after the other, in the same physical location (2 to 3 inches from the laptop). I made sure I was not touching the devices when I recorded the readings.
Therefore, the devices appear to be calibrated differently.
In which case, how can I find out which is more accurate / correctly calibrated? Based on these readings what do you think is likely?
I know I can recalibrate the EMF-390 in the options from 100% to 160%, but I do not know which is the correct calibration (e.g., the EMF-390 could be correct and the TF2 may be off by 1.6x).
