Hi,
I just received my GMC-300 yesterday. Bought via ebay.

At first, it looks like working normally, reading 0.12uSV/hr or something like that.
But, after a few hours, it reads like this... 14,615CPM and 4.872 mR/h right on my desk. It does get same huge reading after factory reset.

What's wrong with this unit?
Should I send it back for repair? (I'm living in South Korea tho).

Regards,
Nate Park

It seems the tube needs a longer aging time.

All new Geiger Counter tubes need a aging process before to let it reading stable. The aging time may be different between tube and tube.

Switch it off for a few minutes and then turn it on again. Let it work for a few days continually.

If the problem does not go away after a few weeks. Then you need to send it back for adjustment/exchange.

After 3 days of continual using, the problem persists.
It reads about 15,000 CPM now..

Would you please let me know where should I send this unit for adjustment/exchange to?
