I wouldn't mind spending $50 on a standard, but such standards cost $800 in Germany, AND you need a license!

Do you want to use that for calibration? Your device could give slightly different results under identical circumstances - small, but statistically relevant.
The calibration wouldn't be very accurate. Maybe identical to how it already is "calibrated", from the factory. |
