Posted - 03/24/2012 : 18:46:55 Just got this gmc-300. Followed the instructions and have had it running for about an hour now and it says 3 cpm with a total count of 161. Most of the time it was at 0 cpm and would make noise and peak at 6 cpm. Is it working correctly? Shouldn't my backround radiation be higher?
I'm also confused on how to reset the device. Maybe a factory reset would fix it.
Thanks for the help. |

Posted - 03/24/2012 : 21:04:58 In the save data, history data, I see a record that reads "ACPM 238 x0.1 03-24-2012 23:52 (M). I believe it is the previous day.
On the data viewer it initially is saying 13, but when I drag the bar to the end it is all 0 with a 2177 spike at the end. I'm not very familiar with the software. There certainly could be user error there on my part. |

"different cpm"? how different between cmputer and the GMC-300 itself? |

I select factory reset. I select yes. I allow popup to timeout. At that point the unit does NOT reset. I power off and power on. The alarm gets re-enabled, but time and date remain the same.
Also downloaded data seems to indicate different cpm than what is being displayed. |

Posted - 03/24/2012 : 18:55:04 It seems something wrong with the unit. It could be two possibility: 1. the tube voltage is shifted due to some reson. 2. The tube it self has some problem.
Try to do a factory reset. If nothing changes, then write to support@gqelectronicsllc.com for the warranty exchange. |
