Hi All,

My GMC-300 is working fine except for the screen contrast. It doesn't matter what value I set it to, it stays with good contrast for about 5 minutes and then reverts to a washed out appearance.

Any ideas what might be happening?

Thanks!

Hi Bob, does the contrast level from the menu change also when the screen contrast change?

Thanks EmfDev for your reply.

In order to give you the most complete answer I can I have made a video to show you what is happening. It is posted here:

https://youtu.be/dnuuqrZbw3Q

After the contrast erroneously resets itself about 50 seconds into the video, and after I reset it to 40 again, nothing happens for 10 minutes so you might like to skip forwards to about 10:50 to see it reset itself again.

Hi Bob, thank for uploading a video, looks like it is a bug. Can you email me your serial number? We will send you an updated firmware to that will fix this one.

I have applied the new firmware and it has solved the screen contrast problem. However, I can see that it still periodically seems to reset (as per the video I made) and today the sound, which was previously set to 'Off' came on again. I have set it back to Off and will monitor it to see if it happens again.
