Received my new GMC-300 last week and I have a couple questions.
1. The battery seems to have an issue, it will charge up to 100 prevent but after removing the cable it will drop it 78 percent in just a matter of less than a minute, plugging the cable back in and you can watch the percentage rise back up to 100 even quicker than it fell. I'm assuming that this isn't normal?
2. I have been unable to get the the USB driver or the soft counter to download from the website, having no cd-rom drive in my laptop this has been a big issue. I was able to download the data viewer but without the driver its not usable.
3. Does light entering the gap around the USB port in anyway affect the readings? It seems I get slightly higher background count during the day than I do in the evenings.
1. That is normal. Because the 100% is based on the voltage of battery. The rechargeable battery should be charged for an extra time after it reaches a standard voltage. 2. All USB driver and software can be downloaded from download page. The USB driver can be downloaded from: http://www.gqelectronicsllc.com/downloads/download.asp?DownloadID=60 3. The M4011 tube is a glass tube. Strong light may affect the reading little.
