Fitted a LND712 tube in a GMC-280. Had to modify the case to fit it, but it works perfect.
Acc folowing link modfied the kit for an audio output to connect to Geigerbot. Made the cable connections correct.

Double checked all connections and output is availible on the 3,5mm stereo jack correct pins for the iPhone5
IOS6.01 and Geigerbot 1.6.9. Geigerbot senses line in... but.. Yet does NOT register any pulses on the input screen despite adjusting input possibilities.
Anybody any idea?? |

Try to turn on the speaker from the unit, if it still does not, remove the speaker and see if it makes differences. |

Hi ZLM,
Thx for the advice.
- Programming the GMC-280's speaker on or off makes no difference. I rerouted the mod wiring in the box to keep it as far away from high voltage, perhaps it would cause some induction, but no result.
- Plugged a stereo headset into the mod 3,5mm and could hear one of the speakers softly sync the pulses with the speaker.
- Plugged it into my iPad3. The Geigerbot sotware noticed the input, switched to audiorouting "headsetINOUT". The graph suddenly showed some full scale clicks being sensed for a a minute or so b4 the inputsignal went "low rumbling" flat again.
- I am not and electronics expert, but it looks to me as input overmodulating signal? I have no access to an oscilloscope unfortunatly, to check. But on the other side the 2x 0,7V diodes in series should take care of clipping the output voltage to my knowledge.
So ????? Mistery...ideas?
By the way,.. took the unit for the 1st time on a trans atlantic flight from AMS to MIA last night and abeam Bermuda noticed highest average 1200CPM @ 34000ft. The speaker was having a ball.... Had set the unit's alarm @ 1000CPM, but did not observe any alarm sound coming from the unit. What is the alarm supposed sound like??

If you can hear the clicks with the external speaker, then the output should n problem. You may need to check your iPad3 input settings. OR there is a contacting problem with your iPad3 input connector.
Yes. The output from GMC-200 is limited to the maximum 1.4V.
The GMC-200 has no alarm features in it. You can only get level idea from sound frequency.
