I have only had my gmc-300 about a week. It runs away with up over 3000 to . 9000 cpm for hours at a time. I have adjusted r25 down to its lower limit (173) volts and reseated the tube and now its running about 20 cpm, which compares to about 14 cpm on my rad scanner-500 which I have had for years. atached is the .bin file from my gmc-300 showing the problem

The tube is broken. You need to replace the tube.
