Hello all

I hope someone can help me. I did some research readings over 3 days and recorded lots of data.
The start was at 0645 on 10/4, then dinner on 10/5 and finally some on 10/6.
I connect the counter and download the results to the software, save as a csv and import into a spreadsheet. Normally this happens without incident.
This time, not all the listings are there. For example 0645 to 0930 are not there and various times slots throughout the day. The readings for 10/5 and 10/6 are not even there at all. It didn't even show them on the screen when playing back the counter in the GQ software.
Please can someone help me recover this missing data and why this has happened.
Thank you

It sounds like you had the counter (which model?) recording and saving internally, and then tried to download this history from the counter?

Well, if the history is not there, then there is no way to recover it. I suggest to try download again using my GeigerLog https://sourceforge.net/projects/geigerlog/

If it really failed to record then the counter may be defect.

You didn't by any chance set the counter's recording to any of the threshold-saving options:
quote:
"CPS, save every second if exceeding threshold",
"CPM, save every minute if exceeding threshold",

That could explain such missing data. Better to never use such options.
