I have a Davis wireless weather station that has frequency range from 918 MHz to 923 MHz (uses frequency hopping). In Vertical Mode, with the EMF 390v1 against the antenna, I can clearly pick up the transmission pulses every 3 seconds. The signal strength dwarfs all other signals. However, the 390 does not identify the frequency. Even in the table mode the frequency does not show up.

I am only able to see the frequency using the zoom feature in the RF Spectrum mode. When not zoomed out, the 923 MHz signal does not stand out even when the unit is touching the antenna.

Why can't I read the frequency in the vertical mode or table mode? The frequencies displayed are not even remotely close to the target frequency.

Hi Bill, it can be because the pulse is fast. It takes some time for the EMF390 to scan the other frequencies.

OK thanks. At least it detects it.
