I have just purchased a 500+ from Amazon UK. Will it need to have its firmware updated?

Could I also ask what features the most up to date firmware offers?

The ‘fast estimate’ is top of my list of features I would like as I am coming from the 300E and it is quite slow.

Thanks!

Hi Pilot25dmc, you can email support@gqelectronicsllc.com with your serial number to ask if there is a new firmware for you device. It has other features like including Dead Time in the CPM calculations, 64 bytes WiFi username/pw, Food Testing Mode, etc.

There is a newer version but the only difference is you can enter underscore in the WiFi SSID and Password.

Thanks again.

I think I will wait until the next revision (if there is one) before updating in that case.
