It just means that there are still static charges in some part of your rooms. When you hold the device, you body acts as an antenna. It's better to hold the meter when measuring EF so it can read how much you body is actually exposed to. When you step on a carpet or anything with higher EF, it can influence the meter's reading. The AC EF can mean that the EF detected is coming from a 50/60 Hz source. |
