Hi there.
I have a new 320 plus and I have found the alarm turns off in power saving mode.
To test it, I allowed the unit to enter power saving mode and gently placed it on a thorium source, at over 200 cpm it was silent. The LED was blinking orange and the alarm threshold was surpassed.
When I picked the unit up and took it out of power saving mode, the alarm sounded.
If the alarm is already sounding and the unit enters standby, the alarm stops.
What is wrong and how to I fix it? |

There should be a new version firmware to address this issue. |

I mean future version. The 4.03 is current latest version. |

Ahh ok.
Do you accept feature suggestions?
Basically, I would request a dosimeter function. Perhaps it automatically rolls over every 12/24 hours, at any point a person could view the absorbed dose rate/CPM for the previous 12/24 hours. I presume it would just be a variation on the timed counts.
Thank you for your hard work :D |

What I personally would like is a variable time period cumulative count/dosimeter that automatically resets itself every 12/24 hours.
In the situation where somebody has been exposed to radiation, they can consult the unit for their previous 12/24 hours exposure. |

It would also be nice for the alarm to alert based on either cumulative dose over X period of time or CPM/uSv/mRh. |

Speaker option turn on-off all sound. The alarm option useless in the case of speaker off. Speaker option need to change to "click sound option" turn off only click sound not all sound.
Alarm level can increase CPM by 20 but decrease by 1, what can i do when try to reduce 1000 CPM to 100 CPM? Push S3 900 times? Noooooooo ! |

It is a good idea to add a option for "click sound option" turn off only click sound. This can be added. For sure it needs an improvement. |

Hello,
I also have the most recent Version GMC300+V4 with Firmware Rev. 4.06 and the issues persist. I cannot turn the click sound off. If the unit enters power saving, no alarms sound.
If I do not hear from QC Electronics how to fix this issue, I will have to return the unit because it is not fit for my purpose.
I also have the impression that the firmware cannot be updated by the user, so even if there was an update in 2 months or so, I could not benefit from it. Is that true? |
