If the memory on the 300E is 64k and the memory on the 320 is 1 meg, why are they both only 7 days of logging as per your spec.

Ther is a mistake I believe. The GMC-320 should be much longer.

For the data type record on GMC-300:

Every Second: ~14 hours
Every Minute: ~20 Days
Every hour: ~2 years

For the data type record on GMC-320:

Every Second: ~10 days
Every Minute: ~3 years
Every hour: >100 years

Those period are estimated based on the size of the memory and the regular CPM value(<255). Each data need one byte data. If the CPM value greater than 255, then two bytes data storage needed. In that case all time period need to be devided by 2.

There are 10% overhead should be added.

Would the battery in the GMC-320 be expected to last the duration of a ~10 day measurement, or would one need to keep the unit plugged in to an external power supply?

The longest running time I got is 7 days on a non-rechargeable 3.7V battery. For the chargeable battery, 800mA, I got three and half days running time. Both are speaker off and back light off.

Does the 300E+ have any additional memory than the 300?

300E+ has same memory size as 300E.

When does 300E writes data to EEPROM? I had data save frequency set at every minute. I had it ran off battery, then partially charged, did some measurements, and then again let it ran out of battery, for some reason measurements were not saved in the log, I see measurement before and after the period I'm interested. Does it save data log to EEPROM only at specific time of the day/frequency?

As long as the data saving mode is enabled, then the data should be saved in the period of the setting. Eg. every second. If you can not find the data, then the data may be not stored in the location it should be. Try to start a new record session each time. This can be done by erase the old data.
