Hi, I finally decided to buy the GMC-200 and just received it today.

On the instructions it says I have to open the case to install the battery for first time use. How do I open the case? Also, when I start charging the battery, how will I know it is charged?

There is also a part on the instructions that says " there is a speaker on/off" so my question is: when I have it connected to the computer, do I turn the speaker off or can both be run simultaneously?

Thanks

Oh and another thing, I noticed you mention the GMC-200 comes with software in package. I didn't get any software in my package, it says to go download it to a link, written on a plastic bag.
Am I supposed to receive a CD or something?

Thanks again

The GMC-200 case has no screws, so you can just push the top cover edge
toward the outside will work. There are two small holes on one end, you can
make use those to open the cover.

The unit does not come with CD, you need to download the software from
following link on the package:
http://www.gqelectronicsllc.com/GQGMCPROSetup.exe

The battery will be charged fully after 10 hours. No other indication. But
you can keep the charger connected with no problem. The internal circuit
will stop the charging once it is full.

The speaker on/off only turns unit speater on/off. It does not affect the data output to PC.
