I’m thinking of buying a GQ GMC-500+ as I am starting a project for an internship. I’m pretty new to the subjects so I’m looking for some tips and stuff i should know while using.

I am planning on checking my surroundings, old pottery or the garbage dump near my home for unusual radioactivity . Is there anything I should know or more?

Thanks!

For the declared purposes the simpler GMC-800 should more than suffice. It is physically more robust, and has better keys. The lack of good debouncing on the older GMCs - this includes the GMC-500 - can really rattle your nerves!
