Hi there, I am a user of a GMC-320 Plus and I can see that it comes with a rechargeable battery (and USB cable). However the included battery is the size of a AA battery. I tried to use this type of battery but it seems that the counter do not turn on. Is it normal? Can I use only rechargeable batteries? Thanks for your help! Marcus
The GMC-320 Plus radiation detector uses a 14500 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which has the same physical size as a standard AA battery but operates at a higher voltage (typically 3.7V instead of 1.5V). This is why your Geiger counter does not power on when using a regular AA battery—it requires the higher voltage provided by the 14500 battery.
