I just noticed by accident I might say that there is an intermittent flashing inside the housing of my GMC 600+ it is observed behind the decal that covers the unused window in the case.
It appears to be similar to an electrical arc flash in nature.
It is not the LED nor the display light.
Please see the photo and video of the flashing.
Is It possible that they are using a spark gap tube as a voltage regulator?
It’s definitely a violet color flash. I may end up peeling that sticker off at some point and taking a look first I figured I’d inquire here.

I only saw the backlight at the corners of the hidden plastic mesh. This was verified by turning the backlight off. Something else is going on in your 600+. Perhaps just unscrew the back so you don't ruin the sticker or call up GQ electronics before you do anything.

I took your advice and removed the back. The warranty is over. I now Feel a bit silly it’s actually a blue LED assuming it’s probably for the Wi-Fi to indicate that it’s on since it looks like there’s an antenna next to it and it is the Wi-Fi module after all. LOL!

OK, I just verified mine does the same thing while on Wi-Fi!

If you have a wider shot of the circuit board and the LND-7317 arrangement, could you post it here?

Looks like there was a burn-out on the accessory port.

Is it possible to connect a second geiger tube in the gmc-600+ version of the board? Is there support for a second geiger tube in the firmware?

Looks like the GMC-500+ and 600/+ boards share some commonality. In the 500, that connector point is used for one of the tubes.

Cannot put 2nd tube on 600+ as it does not turn on the voltage on that side of the board. Plus there are missing parts for generating the high voltage.

It turns out the gmc-500+ is a more functional board. gms-500+ can be upgraded to gmc-600+ or even gmc-600, but not vice versa.
