I ordered a GMC-500, does it have the same features and settings, HT, tubes as the 500+, I think so, because the 500+ has just one more tube, correct? Thanks. |

There is a model "GMC-500" on the market? And it has a single tube?
Really, or is it only a typo of the merchant? There once was a GMC-510 with a single tube, but this has been withdrawn from the market by GQ for some long time.
Who is selling such a device?
I find the 2nd tube rather useless; a 500 with a single is an advantage!

The second tube is for very high radiation, the GMC-500 goes up to 4.25mSv/h and the GMC-500+ goes up to 42mSv/h, this value is very dangerous and it is not found in nature , already that 4mSv/h is high, I never reached this value with the Geiger counter while looking for radioactive minerals, that's why I chose the much cheaper GMC-500. |
