Hi, I'm wondering how to work with the EMF-390 while metering EF fields. When I hold it in my hand it gives high readings and when I place it on a desktop or a bed the readings are low. Which position is correct?

Hi M3, holding the meter is still better. Although the readings are higher, most likely those are static EF. When holding the meter, the EF readings display the amount of EF your body is exposed to. That is why it is better to hold the meter. Static EF is not dangerous.
