Hi there!

I often drive through my town and measure with my EMF-390 the RF power density. I read in average between 0,2 2 mW/m2 but occasionally I get spikes up to 40 mW/m2. All in all nothing dramatic going on the streets of my town. But today I got a spike of 4793 mW/m2 !!! Is possible??? At the spot I measured this spike the cell tower antennas are located about 50 meters away from the street. Can a cell tower generate this kind of power from such distance? Or was it a malfunction of the EMF-390???

Im wondering what is the highest RF power density the EMF-390 v2 is capable of measuring?

at 50m 1m2 represents 0.0004 steradians
which would make a power density of 4.8Watts/0.0004sr = 12kW/sr
I think it cannot be produced by cellular antenna, I am not a specialist but it may be produced by TV relay antenna or long wave transmitters, no ideas.
