I have 2 MW ovens, both have a published freq. of 2.450 GHz. But neither oven shows that exact frequency when measured at the oven door. In fact, the frequency varies slightly from point to point. Is this a variation in the ovens, or is it an artifact of the meter?

I suspected that. Cavity resonators have large bandwidths from what I understand. Thanks for confirming.

Hi Bill, it is the oven, the highest peak of frequency of the oven does not stay in one play and move.
