I setup a user and have the counter id in. I see packets going out to the gmc IP (not analyzed them yet). If I run the "Test connection" it just sits there for awhile and then disappears. No message about failing etc. To date I still see nothing on the map nor when I look at data in Manage Devices.

What am I doing wrong?

TIA

Great! Glad you figured it out :D

Ok I am an idiot. When looking at managed devices I thought it had already created a counter ID for me when I first registered hence was using "404" for the counter ID. I just added a device and selected the map area again and presto. Now Test Connection comes back with "SUCCESSFUL".

Sorry for the noise.

It is attempting to connect to:
184.168.224.226:80

Which appears to be correct based on several non-caching external dns resolvers for gmcmap.com.

I will let our devs know and check our server.

Actually tried that, forgot to mention, earlier in my testing and it had no impact.

I cant help but think its something server side.

I also have yet to capture the packets and try to see whats inside them.

can you do a factory reset and try it again?
jmn777 Posted - 11/03/2021 : 13:09:58
Same outcome. Shows connected but Test Connection just disappears with no message and no data showing up in map or profile.

can you try a hotspot wifi with your phone to test if it is a router issue?
jmn777 Posted - 11/02/2021 : 15:01:48
Yes wifi connects. I can even see packets going out on the firewall when I do a "test connection" but that just sits there then disppears with no message back.
EmfDev Posted - 11/02/2021 : 10:15:25
are you able to connect to wifi?

I have all of this. I used the "Account ID" for the user ID. The other attributes were defaults.
