Hello
Today I received my new GQ-EMG-390v2 rev 3.60 and I started using it to analyze my Wi-Fi. I have the German Fritz Box 7590 modem/router and I have two different and distinct Wi-Fi network SIDs, one is 2.4 GHz and one is 5.0 GHz. My computer is connected via Wi-Fi using the 5.0 GHz SID. Maybe it is me who is misunderstanding how this device works, but I cannot see any 5GHz spectrum in RF Spectrum mode. In RF Spectrum mode, I tried S1 to select from the list of available frequencies but I couldn't find any frequency to set beyond 2.5 GHz (see the below image)

Is this a firmware issue? Does my device require any update?
Thanks

Hi panosip, it requires another different chip for 5GHz spectrum.

Hello.
Why it’s impossible to add a 5Ghz spectrum support?
The device is capable to detecting and displaying RF signals on 5Ghz+ band.

Hi ihab17 it is impossible to add 5GHz spectrum with just a firmware update. But there is low chance of adding 5GHz spectrum in the future.

But in general RF detection 5GHz is covered up to 10GHz. So if you want to test 5GHz, you need to use RF Browser or AllInOne Mode.

Thanks. Is there a way in the future to implement the 5 GHz in the spectrum? Maybe in future firmware updates?
