Is it possible to have a more accurate source description appear further away from the EF/EMF source? At present the meter only detects the correct source when literally right next to the emitting object. Thus, can get four different descriptions for a microwave oven depending if you've moved only a couple of feet away. eg. 'Microwave' oven also comes up as 'Power Line', 'Cell Tower' and 'Mixed'.

Yes you are right. But not just RF, it also includes EMF and EF.

Is the source description based on how high the RF reading is; thus moving further away from RF emission gives lower RF reading and a different source description?

The possible source is just an suggestion/guess. It cannot tell you exactly what youre looking at.
