I often drive through my town and measure with my EMF-390 the RF power density. I read in average between 0,2 – 2 mW/m2 but occasionally I get spikes up to 40 mW/m2. All in all nothing dramatic going on the streets of my town. But today I got a spike of 4793 mW/m2 !!! Is possible??? At the spot I measured this spike the cell tower antennas are located about 50 meters away from the street. Can a cell tower generate this kind of power from such distance? Or was it a malfunction of the EMF-390???
I’m wondering what is the highest RF power density the EMF-390 v2 is capable of measuring?
Regards!

Posted - 08/27/2022 : 01:43:32 Yes! You got a RF Pulse! or train of pulses! They are irradiating with 4 G + and 5 G . (Also with WiFi or else in the 2.4 Ghz band). Personally I got 1500 mWatt/m2 on street , 100 meters away from nearest cell /WFA base station located at 15 meters high in a rooftop. If you were 50 meters is very near, so the value you measure might be correct. Thanks.

What is the max reading of the GQEMF-390

Hi Rob, today I have also registered a spike of 4793 mW/m2. In addition to that, another friend has got the same value of 4793 mW/m2 on three different days.
It is a really strange coincidence. Someone else got the very same value? |

Posted - 04/20/2021 : 08:59:15 at 50m 1m2 represents 0.0004 steradians which would make a power density of 4.8Watts/0.0004sr = 12kW/sr I think it cannot be produced by cellular antenna, I am not a specialist but it may be produced by TV relay antenna or long wave transmitters, no ideas. |
