The ver 2 manual of the 390 shows a major change-up for the frequency bands of the Spectrum Analyzer. All the kHz bands have been dropped and the unit does not analyze anything under 50 MHz.
Ver 2: Frequency band 1: 50 MHz -65MHz (FM Radio)
Ver 1: Frequency band 1: 150KHz – 534KHz
Etc. also for other bands
Does this represent a hardware change in the 390?
Is it possible to upgrade the firmware without losing these lower bands? |

The reason why is because of the older spectrum component is not available anymore. |

This sounds counter intuitive to me (I'm new to this and curious), but i'm sure it involves a lot of technical considerations to come to this design update, can you simply explain the pros and cons of this design? Thank you. |

In the spectrum yes, it covers less frequency. |

That's interesting. So v2 is not using the full potential of the hardware in terms of frequency coverage. |

Yes, the RF spectrum has changed from V1 to V2. They have different firmware versions but has the same features. |
