I am trying to block a 240 Volt 50Hz electromagnetic field. While trying different materials i found that copper reduces the electromagnetic field from 5mG το 2,5mG.
Is Copper an effective material to block 240Volt 50Hz electromagnetic field?

Posted - 12/10/2019 : 07:52:09 Hi...at 50 - 60 Hz, you are in the near field, so you need to consider electric and magnetic field shielding separately. Also, at these frequencies, shielding is not really a matter of reflection and absorption. It's more a matter of locally redirecting the fields.

Posted - 11/08/2019 : 17:40:30 Im not sure if it iss effective but as long as the reading is repeatable it should be correct. I just means the EMF around the meter with the copper blocking is lower than usual. |
