This is my third GMC320 and I have had this problem with every one of them. They seem to be plugging along just fine on continuous USB power, until an absolutely anomalous AVG CPM value displays. In my house I see typical CPM values between 14 and 25, and never observed over 35. AVG CPM is typically between 16 and 18. However, one day I'll glance at it and see the same old CMP counts but an AVG CMP of several hundred to a thousand. I look back through the data and see no spikes, and certainly nothing high enough to skew the AVG CPM to those levels. I'd probably be dead by now if that kind of blast was hitting my house. This current unit has only been in service since November 2018.

Hello, a new firmware has been release for a fix on this issue. If there's still a problem after 45 days please let me know.
Also, please email me with your serial number for a firmware upgrade. Thanks.

It looks like an overflow because the 320+ units only support 16 bits.

Just fell to its knees again yesterday. Any progress with a FW update that fixes this bug?
EmfDev Posted - 05/16/2019 : 08:21:33
GGChap, do you mean it also happens to your 320+ every 45 days?
GGChap Posted - 05/16/2019 : 06:27:24
I had the same issue with my unit right from the start. It's a GMC 320+ V4, revision 4.16.
It was obvious to me that it was a software bug and not a real hazard causing this or else the alarm would have been set off.

Ok I see, it looks like it's a confirmed bug even with the new firmware. We will check this one. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Was looking at meter just now and the avg CPM dropped from 230.xx to 0.41, dithered around between 0.38 and 0.44 for about a minute, and then jumped to 652.xx. Instantaneous CPM values between 17 and 22 during this time.

Again, for the record, this is the third model in the past 2-3 years that have had this same problem.
heavyduty Posted - 04/18/2019 : 20:17:56
This just happened again today. 45 days elapsed. Max CPM 40. Current average CPM is over 300. Revision 5.16.
EmfDev Posted - 03/04/2019 : 10:11:07
Also how long or which day did it happen? or what is the elapsed day/time when it happened?
EmfDev Posted - 03/04/2019 : 09:42:02
Can I ask for your firmware revision? and also what is the max CPM when that happens?
EmfDev Posted - 03/04/2019 : 09:30:40
Hi heavyduty, this looks like a software average calculation bug. I need to check if it's been fixed in the latest firmware. Sorry about that.
