Hello,

I have a question about different kind of radiation.
If I have a reading with 100 CPM natural background vs. a reading with 100 CPM x-ray radiation.
Is there a difference in terms of health issue. Which is more dangerous or is 100 CPM always the same threat ?

thank you

It's very similar, since we don't know if the background detected is also xray. But if we consider the same dosage/energy and same area of penetration, then they're very similar. Because the background detected is a mix of beta/gamma/xray.

Yes measured with a GMC 320.
Lets say a reading for 5 minutes @100 CPM for example. If the protocol gives 100 CPM in every minute of these 5 minutes.

It depends. Are you assuming you are using 320? Natural background seems like 24/7 100 CPM with 320. And is the 100CPM xray also 24/7?
