First off, I had recently bought to GMC-320Plus (v4) models. As I wanted to play with them a bit as I am the lucky recipient of a nice does of I-131 for thyroid cancer.
After getting my 150 mCi of I-131, I went home and walked into my house. My counters upstairs and downstairs were already freaking out. Alarm and all.
5 days in, and now I don't make it go over 10,000 CPM...
Just thought I would post that it has been really interesting looking at the data. I leave one in my bedroom, and one down in my living room(where I don't go) Lets family members see how much radiation I am leaking.

~20,000 CPM. Yes. that level radiation kills cells. |

I recall several years ago when my wife needed Tc-99m. She was about 5m away from my GMC300 w/4011 tube and it was reading like 400CPM. Right up against her midsection it was ~20,000. Scary ****! |
