Posted - 05/13/2014 : 16:23:08 Good Evening I purchased the GMC-080 and was reading several posts regarding using a 11M ohm resistance meter to measure the correct voltage on the circuit for specific tubes, I have not been able to find any 11M ohm meters all I can find anywhere are 10M ohm. also is this the impedance resistance or is this something different, can you recommend a low cost if available meter for this, and would a 10M ohm resistance meter work the same way???

Posted - 09/07/2014 : 12:19:12 The value of resistor placed on the ANODE side of the tube is depending on the tube. That is not for measuring the voltage, it is a DC current regulator resistor.
For all high voltage measuring, 1000Mohm or 1Gohm serial resistor on the meter is the best. |
