Posted - 11/09/2012 : 08:36:38 Routine monitoring using the GMC-300 over two weeks in the Cleveland Ohio area shows 0 CPM occasionally (once every 4-5 days). Is this just a statistical fluke or is there some other reason?
A curvefit of the data is a flat line of 20.8 CPM with a peak of 38 CPM. So I would expect 2 CPM with a similar frequency as the 38 CPM, but since I never get 40 CPM at my site, I expect no 0 CPM. |

Posted - 11/15/2012 : 10:43:10 There are some problems on voltage I believe.
You can contact GQ ask for a checking. You may need to return the unit to GQ.
OR If you know the electronics, then try to use a 1000V small (~0.1uf) capacitor, parallel to the tube two ends and see if it changes anything. |

No, it works fine in that it generates CPM readings with a non-zero value most of the time. But some infrequent 1 minute periods are completely zero. Statistical fluke? |
