Posted - 08/02/2012 : 22:33:02 I recently purchased a GQ300 with the updated firmware 2.2. I have found i get three different results from this unit..background counts from the unit itself in large text mode shows anything from 5 to 40 cpm that worried me a bit..so i donloded the data to my laptop and did a replay on the software.. to my horror it shows counts peaking to 80 cpm on the x1 setting.. now im pooping my pants..so i tried direct counts via usb cable on the laptop ie.. direct from the unit and reading via the software.. guess what..counts dropped to around 5-20 cpm.
So why is this?? They should all be the same.. im not happy about this and want to know which is the correct readings and why there is a difference. I have saved two logs ..one as recorded by the device itself and one as recorded by the laptop .. its possible to play the two logs recording the same times and counts but you will see a big difference.. unfortunatly i am on a diffrrent puter at the moment so cant upload them but i will asap. Any comments.. or has anyone else found the same thing...??

Posted - 08/03/2012 : 10:57:54 I think your reading from GMC-300 itself is fine.
For the different CPM reading on the PC when you play back, it is computer software related. There are more than one factors to cause this problem:
1. software downloaded incorrect data from GMC-300. The downloading data process may be interrupted by other software. Try to reconnect the GMC-300 and restart the software to download again.
2. the computer software may have interpreted some data in different way than GMC-300 OR it is a software bug. As long as the problem can be reproduced, then it should be easy to fix in software.
You can send your data file to support@gqelectronicsllc.com for the investigation.
Aslo, when you playback downloaded data, the data may be not in Every Second data, then the CPM reading from the software is ACPM. Not the CPM. |
