when i charge my gmc-300 the battery status goes all the way up 9.7 volts,then once its charged up it says 9.0 volts.is this normal?also when i hold the gmc-300 up to my ear i hear a faint humming/buzzing in the gmc-300.is this normal?thanks for any answer.i love the gmc-300.

Both 9.7V and 9.0 volt reading are normal.

During the charging, the battery status shows actual charging voltage. Once the battery is fully charged, then it shows the battery norminal voltage.

The "faint humming/buzzing" is normal sound. That is the Geiger Tube high voltage oscillation sound. It means the tube high voltage is working.
