I just bought a GMC-200 but the power adapter is different from what is used here (ie., I can't plug it into the wall; the prongs are differrent).

I have another adapter from a different device. It's DC9V, but it's only 300mA. Would this be okay to use?

It will work.
Use multi-meter to check voltage, it should be higher than 9V.
