Hi!

I just recived the GMC-300 and I have a doubt.

For example, the GMC-300 say now 20 CPM and 0.02uSv/h
But the software GMC-300 reading the same data says 20 CPM and 0.07uSv/h
Why that diference?

I'm not sure, but I think that 0,02uSv/h is too low for normal background radiation.

Thanks for the fast response.

I did the recalibration at 20CPM. Then the soft and hardware says the same.

But tonight I leave the meter disconected from power to test the batery.
This morning the meter was shutdown becouse the empty batery.
Now the meter seems to work in diferent way. Yesterday the tipical CMP was arround 20, and now is arround 30-40. And now the uSv/h readings seems more "real" 0.14-0.16. Perhaps was something wrong and the meter only needed a "reset".

I only have one more question. The calibration levels are hardcoded somewhere? If I do a reset I lose also the calibration?

Thanks! David

Current Re.1.02 GMC-300 data viewer has no uSV/h.

The GMC-300 Soft Geiger Counter simulation software has uSv/h. If the readings are different, then the software calibration data must be different with your GMC-300.

Check your GMC-300 calibration data. There may be some offset reading on each tube.

If you want more accurate reading, then you can change the calibration data on GMC-300. for example, you can change the calibration data 20CPM to 0.07uSv/h to match your computer reading.
