Hi,
Tried out my Data viewer and using Com3, it said Downloading Data but the Progress Bar never moved from 0% (after a LONG wait)... when I cancelled, it said 'Downloading Ended' and naturally there's no data to plot...
HELP!!!
Thanks for any response, Ven |

Posted - 04/05/2012 : 23:15:58 I had the same problem. I'm using Windows XP
With the device connected...
1-Open the 'System' control panel 2-Select the 'Hardware tab 3-Click on 'Device Manager' 4-Look for the item 'Ports (COM & LPT)' in the device list 5-You should see something like 'Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM5)' 6-Select com5 (or what ever your system assigned) in the GMC-300 Data Viewer software; the one near the bottom of the screen - not from the 'Settings' menu.
After doing that I could download data and/or watch in real time. When I tried using the 'Settings' menu to change the com# it didn't always work.
I hope this helps. |

Posted - 03/15/2012 : 09:43:40 Change the GMC-300 unit to save the data every second option. And let it run for a few hours to colleting more data. Then download the data. You will see the history data on the computer. Each graph screen covers 60 data. So, it need enough data to draw a graph on the computer screen. |

Posted - 03/14/2012 : 18:19:38 Thanks for the reply ZLM.. I think I jumped the gun a bit when I tested this as I tested this prior to having any test data saved and obviously no history data yet... yes, my real-time monitoring does indeed work (Whew... glad to know that in our neck of the woods, Sydney, I just get normal background cpm readings)... |

Posted - 03/10/2012 : 10:25:51 What is your unit version? Does it work on Realtime monitoring?
It looks like the unit does not response the request.
Try to exit software and disconnect the unit from USB port and then restart software again. |
