Posted - 01/27/2012 : 18:01:11 There have been a few posts here from people who have not been able to get GMC-300 Data Viewer working, my self included. But I haven't seen any posts from people who have it working.
Has anyone succeeded in getting it to work? If so, did you have to do anything special and if so, what?
Thanks

Posted - 01/28/2012 : 09:59:28 Is the program not running at all? If it is, try this..Rename your file with a .bin at the end
We got ours to work after doing this. Here's a link to a screen shot and what we did...and what we think your issue is.
h**p://img210.imageshack.us/img210/1601/cellphonea.jpg of course replace the ** w/tt
Once you download the software, then check which COM it's on, connect USB, turn the unit on, open data viewer, go to setting at the top, then serial port, and see which port it's set to. Then on the main screen, click select and use the dropdown to select the COM shown from settings. (ours is COM3) Then click download, (note where you save the file). HERE'S WHERE I THINK THE ISSUE IS = After downloading, locate the file and rename it whatever you want with .bin at the end, no spaces. Now the data viewer will be able to locate it when you click load on the main screen. Then after you click load on the main screen, you should be good, it should be there for you to scroll left and right. We have to use the little square to scroll, for some reason, the arrows didn't work.
