Has anyone used both a GMC-600 Pro vs a Radeye B20-ER before?

I know the price difference between the two are massive and Radeyes are not easily purchased (new) since they sell primarily to government entities. I'm just curious how much bang for the buck the GMC-600 Pro is! I have zero experience with either.

Both devices use a Pancake Geiger tube. GQ tells you its GMC-600 uses a LND7317 tube, but Radeye stays suspiciously mum on the origin of the tube.

However, as Radey says its tube has a 44mm diameter window, chances are that both device use the very same tube manufactured by LND!

Even if their tubes were different, there is no way that a tube of same size can produce any different result!

So, with the key element of a Geiger counter being the same, it makes you wonder why the GMC-600 costs 400€, while the Radey costs 2400€.

I am hard pressed to see an extra value of 2000€. (But obviously, when you are able to purchase that device, you don't pay for it yourself, but use taxpayer's money!)

But since you say to have "zero experience" I suggest to go for a GMC-800 instead. Once you understand what you are doing, you will know whether you even need a (more fragile) pancake detector.
