Hi everyone,

I am having trouble with my GQ Geiger Muller Counter. It seems to be displaying inconsistent readings that fluctuate wildly even in stable environments.

Model: GQ GMC-300E
The counter shows highly variable readings when exposed to a stable radiation source. For example; when testing in an area with a known low radiation level; the readings bounce between very high and very low values without any apparent reason.

I have tried recalibrating the device and checking the connections; but the problem still there .

The issue began after I updated the firmware. The counter appears to function normally otherwise; with accurate readings when tested against known sources of radiation. I have checked https://www.gqelectronicsllc.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9525

Has anyone faced similar issues / have any suggestions for troubleshooting this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds exactly like the main issue I had with GMC-800 (check that thread). A firmware update solved that.
