I have seen them before but now I remembered again. J305 seems readily available in a metal version. At least the 107mm length variety. Voltage requirement seems identical so should be an easy drop in replacement. For those using the 107mm version of J305 even without soldering - just cut strips and add new ones when tube installed.

Anybody has something to say about them? Not found any data on them yet other than seller states 65 CPM / uS/h for Co-60. Seems a bit on the low side as I recall most geigers using Co-60 for reference using J305 (88mm version), J321 or M4011 seems to use 80 CPM / uS/h.
Wonder what sensivity is for Cs-137 which I prefer as conversion rate. 161,5 is what's used in the 300 series when "long" J305 is used (there's an even longer J305 version of it still - but doesn't fit in 300 series).
More sensitive than or equal to 107mm J305, SMB-20 ??

Personally I see them as a very welcome addition of tube choices. Something else than the usual all glass tubes. And personally as things are now I'm not at all a fond of buying something from Russia unless it's (new) old stock outside from long before they (you know what).

I've contacted some manufacturers in the USA about getting reproduction SBM-20s made, waiting to hear back

The Gamma-7C tube isn't readily available in Russia and is usually only produced by state order for use in nuclear power plant equipment. It's more common to find the SBM-20 tube, which is more readily accessible.

This tube is not freely available even in Russia, it’s easier to buy SBM-20. The Gamma-7C tube is produced by order of the state for equipment at nuclear power plants.

Yeah just wondering if anyone had their hands on one

Yes, this is a replacement for SBM-20.
