Hello,

My device is sometimes emitting very short and bright purple (electric like) flashes, it seems to be coming from the tubes, is this normal?

Ah thank you so much! I could indeed trigger this blue light with the test connection menu. One mystery solved!

3z_phoenix is right. The WiFi Module has a blue Led that blinks whenever it sends data to the server. Usually, it is on sleep mode when WiFi is OFF or between sending data.

hello,

don't worry, the blue flashing light comes from a small LED good covert inside housing, it flashes when it sends your counting-data to www.gmcmap.com
you can check this, if go into preferences --> Server --> select Test Connection now hit "Enter bottom" for start the test,
it will flash one or two times ...
(first i worry by myself same way, thinking on lightning stroke inside the Tube from overvoltage, but that it is not)

kind regards ;)
