Posted - 12/05/2023 : 18:37:30 I realize that 500+ and other models have the ability to store periodic data readings, however the Elapsed data is all lost on a power cycle. This is unfortunate when only a few counts might normally be lost during a power cycle to change batteries in the field.
This is an area where my two cheap Chinese GC's have an advantage. They both persist the accumulated measurement and the date the accumulation began. They simply add to the accumulating values when restarted.
At first, I thought my 500+ might have a problem as I fully expected this data would persist across power cycles. The manual made it clear this is normal for the 500+ to accumulate data only since the last power on.
I think that persisting Elapsed Data across power cycles would be a welcome addition to the 500+ and other GQ models.

Posted - 12/06/2023 : 14:00:03 It seems to be that case in GMC-800. Elapsed data and dose are both saved during power off.
What about in Dosimeter mode in GMC-500, does it behave the same way? |
