Posted - 05/04/2023 : 16:24:46 I just bought a GMC-320S. I curious to know if anyone has tried using a LiFePO4 14500 battery in this unit. The voltage would be 3.2V instead of the 3.7V of the standard Li-ion battery. I prefer LiFePO4 in my devices whenever possible.

Posted - 05/09/2023 : 10:27:06 We tested with a 3.2V LiFePO4 with GMC-300S, it can be charged ok but we only tested for few hours. Also used a standard 4.2V Li-Ion charger and can charge up to 4.2. However, over few hours the charge was back to 3.7V without using the battery. Overcharging is not good to the battery and we do not recommend it as we only tested for a few hours.

But as the specs say:
Maximum charge voltage 3.8 V
there may currently be a problem when your max charge voltage is 4.2V! I am eager to hear your test results.

Posted - 05/05/2023 : 09:32:38 We havent tested yet. The result is unpredictable. The 320S charging circuit allows a maximum of 4.2V. If the battery is overcharged over its maximum voltage capacity, it may cause damage. Please do not try it yet. We will test it soon.
