Can the 5V USB Wall Charger/Adapter (item # TOOL-083) be used on the GMC-320+. I don’t want to overcharge, since it only uses a 3.6V battery. The description indicates to be used only on GMC-280 and GMC-300. Is a different USB wall adapter available?

You can use any 5V wall charger for the device. I used my phone charger for a while because i couldnt find the original one. The mA or A indications are mostly irrelevant.
The charging is handled by the internal cicuit of the GMC and therefore it makes no difference what charger you use, as long as its not a special one or one that provides too much or too low voltage.
A special one means some kind or regulated charger thats used for devices that have no internal charge circuit. Phones do have one, however some new phones use a new technique to load the battery, like samsung. I guess these chargers woudlnt work correctly with the GMC.

GQ specifies which charger you have to use because if you do not they cannot make sure that its their fault in the case the device malfunctioned and you'll lose your warranty. So be careful.

Also, the provided chargers are really cheap and pretty unsave. (I mean they have to protect YOU nad the device from mains voltage.)

My statements are "stuff-a-hobbyist-says" and not in any way professional.

The GMC Geiger Counter uses standard USB port to charge the unit. Any USB wall charger and computer USB port will work.
