I have had my EMF-390 for 13 months, but only needed to charge it recently. The charging plug shows red at times, green at others -- no distinct pattern. Overnight, the charge only rose from 7% to 20%, then drained back down to 7% whilst plugged in for more charge. Sounds like a faulty charger weakly-charging, then sapping-out current! How to obtain a consumer-law remedy in the United Kingdom? Thanks.

Hi Trevor, do you have other USB mini cables to test?

I made a mistake! I had a UK 3-pin plug with an outlet which fitted into the circular (data?) port of the meter. Finally located the correct USB charging cable which works fine! Does GQ supply (with new unit or as accessory) a cable for the circular port? Also, bring a Mac user, I had been unable to carry out updates. Has this situation changed? Thanks again.

The 3.5mm jack (circular port) is an extra feature for speaker and not for charging. So far there is no software update to upgrade for MacOS. I will let support know about this issue. But so far the current version of EMF should have same readings as older ones.

My unit states 'V2' (version 2) on boot-up. Am I up-to-date? Thanks for your interest.

Yes V2 is the latest version hardware. You can email me your device serial number for me to check if the firmware is up to date. Serial number can be found under Main Menu -> About -> Serial Number.
