The GMC-600 has about five times higher sensitivities than GMC-300,500 series due to the SBT-11 pancake tube installed. The GMC-600+ installed a LND 7317 pancake tube. It has about 7-8 time sensitivities than GMC-300,500 series.
For details, please see: http://www.gqelectronicsllc.com/support/GMC_Selection_Guide.htm
UI simulation: https://www.gqelectronicsllc.com/download/SoftGeigerCounterGMC600.exe
I had a chance to test both GMC-600 and GMC-600+. The user interface is similar to GMC-500, but they have much higher sensitivities. The GMC-600+ is the best Geiger Counter I ever tested.
I tested it with Morton Salt Substitute (Sodium Free), I got 475 CPM.

Hi ZLM,
Thanks for reply.
And how about GMC-500+ (two m4011 tubes?) sensibility ?
Would be nice if GQ put a sliding door on GMC-600 family :)

The GMC-500+ installed two tubes, one M4011 and one SI-3BG.
The M4011 is for regular sensitivity measures and the SI-3BG used to measure high range does.
It is true, it is nicer if there is a sliding door on GMC-600 series. However, the sliding door may increase the chances of mechanical failure rate. There are double layer protective nets on GMC-600 for protecting the pancake tube. That is sufficient for most of cases protection. |

ZLM,
Oh, then they'll work together, like those external probes of some russian counters (on those they normally use SBM-20 plus SI-3BG)? Thanks again.
