The program sends SMTP command "AUTH LOGIN" when server security has been specified as "NONE".

Selecting TLS says "Security type error" and sends no packets.

The server is sendmail 8.14.4.

can you provide more details? so that the bug can be fixed easily.
Example, if the program sends SMTP command "AUTH LOGIN", and server replys "NONE", then what program sends then?

auth login
504 5.3.3 AUTH mechanism login not available

The bug is you should not be sending the AUTH command at all (if in the program the security is set to NONE).

OK. Try this build.

This one skipt all auth commands. including user name and password.
