Hi ZLM and other forummers,

I have a coupe of questions on the GQ GMC 320, which I am about to purchase on ebay.

1. Can I permanently connect it to a permanent power supply (via an adapter of course)? My AC supply here is 220V 50Hz. And where can I buy the correct power supply adapter?

2. I intend to do continuous monitoring and have it connected to a pc. How is this connection done? Is it via serial cable, with a serial connector at the pc end? What is the connector at the GMC 320 end?

3. My pc will be about 140 metres away from the GMC 320. Is that OK?

4. Where can I get the software for displaying the continuous monitoring on my pc?

Many thanks in advance.

1. Yes. You can permanently connect it to a permanent power supply. The unit is designed for 24/7 working with external power adapter.

2. The unit uses USB cable connection between PC and Geiger Counter. It uses standard mini USB cable and connectors.

3. 140 meters is too far for the single USB connection. You may need a few USB hub to extend the distance. OR other way.

4. The GMC-320 package comes with the Data Viewer software, you can use that software to monitoring, save the radiation data. There is a optional software: Data Logger PRO you can purchase. With Data Logger PRO version, you can have FTP, eMail and more other advanced features.
